Front page story!

Thanks to Erik Nilsson for a very good piece on my favorite pastime: "Chinglish has life, don't trample on it" in today's China Daily (April 15 2009).

I very much enjoy the vivid discussion in the comment section (apart from the usual racism discussion, of course).

过去我对中式英语比较鄙视,现在听你这么一说,倒真觉得那是一个宝贝了。

建议:留下您的公开的E-MAIL,我们可以把自己找到的有趣的chinglish图片发给你。

i find really interesting in the word "steliot", because i checked it up in the dictionary first and couldnot find it. however, after finishing the whole report, i am sparked by the order of the alphabet.

Hello! Actually I used to think Chinglish is a degrading thing thanks to some films I've seen, Hollywood ones btw.. Now, I think it's entertaining to see those as tehy're disappearing. However, not everyone has the same opinion as mine.

I could fully understand why a lot of people think it's an insult. Look at all those Western newspaper and you rarely see any positive news about China. Fine, that's their opinion, but I find a lot of them repulsive as they smartly direct hatred onto Chinese with different view from their Western review.. what happened to real freedom? let alone how North America or Australia or New Zealand really came to be.. so I think it can be hypocritical of them to do their usual double standard thing.

Anyway, I respect your opinion and I enjoyed watching those Chinglish signs. Keep on doing it for your fans! LOL :)
